Welcome back to Richmond, Virginia, commonly known as the “River City” and RVA. MARAC last visited Richmond in the Fall of 2012, and we are excited to return to this weirdly unique and ever evolving city!  

The meeting theme is “Flowing Together: Community and Resilience in Archives,” reflecting a convergence of principles: 

• the members of the archival community feel that the profession is facing new challenges and obstacles due to political and fiscal pressures
• that as archivists we continually need to support each other's education, professional development, and general well-being
• and that we, as a profession, should attempt to support grass-roots efforts to preserve documentary evidence of communities, large and small, through community archiving projects and other outreach activities

MARAC meetings have a strong tradition of bringing accessible sessions to practitioners from all levels of the archives and information professional fields.  All are welcomed and encouraged to participate! We are excited for a great mix of people to attend and promote the exchange of ideas.

VIEW PROGRAM

Registration - Pre-event registration is closed. Registration will pause from April 16-28 and reopen online the afternoon of April 29th with on-site pricing. 

Conference registration fee covers the Thursday Meet & Greet reception, Friday continental breakfast, plenaries, concurrent sessions, breaks, and evening reception, and Saturday concurrent sessions and break. Please check your employer's payment policies for meals and tours prior to registering. If your employer is paying for your registration and you will pay for other items personally, please review these instructions before registering. You may register online and request an invoice to pay later. 

Conference Registration Rates:
Early Bird rate (ends March 25th): Member $150, Non-member $215
Regular rate (ends April 15th): Member $175, Non-member $240
Just in Time rate (begins afternoon of April 29th): Member $195, Non-member $260
Student rate: $75
Saturday only attendance: $80
Workshop only (not attending conference): See pricing below

Pre-conference workshops will be held on Thursday, April 30th. If you are attending both a pre-conference workshop and the conference, registration fees are required for both. You may attend a pre-conference workshop without attending the conference and only pay the workshop registration fee.  A full-day workshop costs $100.

MARAC strives to make meetings accessible, but we do better when specific accommodations are requested well in advance. In all situations, a good faith effort to satisfy requests made prior to the event will be made.

DONATION DRIVE

Make a big impact by donating to HomeAgain! Bring essential items like hygiene products, household and cleaning supplies for families transitioning from homelessness into permanent housing. There are several ways to participate: (1) Bring an item to drop off at the registration table (2) Monetary donations directly to HomeAgain. Place “MARAC 2026” in the Additional Comments area when you donate. (3) Donate supplies through the HomeAgain Wishlist. Financial Assistance
